For over two decades, Kibbie Ruth, MA, DMin, has taught abuse prevention and intervention strategies, and consulted on cases throughout the country. Once a developer of effective community prevention programs, Dr. Ruth now concentrates on religious issues of abuse as the Founder and Senior Consultant of Kyros Ministry. She works with judicatories and congregations to establish safe relationships and faith communities, including prevention of child abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse, sexual harassment, professional misconduct and other abuses of power. She holds a certificate in Risk Management from Cambridge. An Adjunct Professor since 1994 at seminaries of the Graduate Theological Union, Dr. Ruth also regularly lectures at three others and provides consultation to the CA Department of Health Services and Office of Child Abuse Prevention. Her honors include being tapped into the San Mateo County Women’s Hall of Fame in 1986 and being named 1971 Woman of Distinction in Human Rights by the Soroptomists.
Pamela Larsen, our Ministry Coordinator, served as Business Administrator for a large church before coming to facilitate Kyros’ outreach to the faith community. She also served as an administrative consultant to a small medical foundation and in a church parish setting.
